The transport of pharmaceuticals due to high responsibility of the manufacturer towards the end user is possibly the most difficult and most controlled area of ​​goods transport. Medicines are transported at temperatures of +15°C +25°C, +2°C + 8°C and -20°C.

In addition, the regulations specially developed by the European Commission for the distribution of pharmaceuticals, "Good Distribution Practice of medicinal products for human use" (GDP), of 7 March 2013, prescribe a whole series of measures to ensure the safety of pharmaceuticals on their way from the manufacturer to the final recipient. 

The mentioned measures include:

- requirements for the manufacturer with regard to the appropriate storage of the finished products

- requirements for the appropriate condition of the vehicles used for transport

- requirements for the continuity of the temperature chain

- requirements for the qualification of the staff

- mechanisms for constant monitoring of the product condition

- mechanisms for solving emergency situations

In addition, greater attention is paid to the preparation of transport and commercial documents in order to avoid delays in the transport of the goods.
